How we think, feel, and act is governed by our assumptions. They are often hidden from our view, and most of the time they are. We often support their validity at first glance. Because they provide stability. They can also be the foundations of our weaknesses.

* A relationship only exists when we work together. We invest a lot in our clients when there is an agreement to collaborate. We keep in touch with our clients, asking them if there are any projects. We need to continue looking for work, and they won't be interested in hearing from us if there isn't a project. If they don't require us, they have other tasks.

* We don’t have the time or resources to follow our recommendations. Our business is not treated like our clients. This is why we do it. We are too busy pitching or doing work for clients. "Innovation", Segmentation, Differentiation; all these are important but we don't have the time or resources to do them ourselves. We cannot afford to turn our backs on work and focus on ourselves.

* While we understand the business of our clients, we don't know enough to fully grasp the world of our individual clients. We are too busy.

* We know what my client wants and can deliver it. My client is the one who holds the balance of power in this relationship. They pay us for our creativity, and we provide it. We would have to challenge them about their business. This feels wrong. Instead of approaching our clients to have a conversation, we wait for them to approach us. They will know when they require us.
